The launch issue of modern carpets & textiles for interiors was published in September 2005. This is the first publication to echo the vibrancy of the fast-growing international market for fine hand-made carpets and artist textiles. With a focus on innovation and market trends in the industry, the magazine is great news to anyone who thought that weaving and hand-knotting were dying arts.

The tenth issue (illustrated here) was published in March.  We ask industry experts to tell us what they believe to be the 20 best textiles of the 20th Century and we take a look at the way in which Indian design is influencing the west.  Insight examines Sam Kasten’s weaving techniques, plus our In Situ feature sees how Jan Kath is settling in to his new showroom in Bochum, Germany. There's a round up of the best design fairs taking place this spring and Product Selector showcases the best in silk rug design. Retail Report looks at the Tisli project in Morocco and there’s a review of the Carpet Design Awards that took place at Domotex in January.  This issue features Kenneth Cobonpue, Kit Kemp, Kyle Bunting…the list just goes on!!!

The cover price is £7.50.

“There are very few design publications that are capable of stimulating rug enthusiasts from manufacturers to consumer. HALI has filled a large void in the design industry by providing individuals, from all professions, with a fabulous resource. Modern carpets & textiles focuses more on art and design, instead of merely rugs and rug accessories. Our designs are like our clientele, unique and unparalleled: therefore we feel right at home with modern carpets & textiles, a magazine dedicated to setting and pushing current trends.”  RYAN HIGGINS, TAMARIAN CARPETS
